Job Description: Outside/inside Sales Rep
Zorlac Skateboards/Clothing was one of the most famous skate brands through out the 80's and 90's and is still well known through out the action sports industry. We are looking for skate industry-savvy sales reps to present our line to new accounts. We seek motivated, commission only, experienced, independent sales reps to show our classic reissue products, as well as the new clothing line.
Responsibilities:
- develop and maintain strong relationships with key retailers
- explain features and merits of the surf line, using your experience and developed sales techniques
- call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders
- quote prices, credit terms and prepare sales contracts
- take orders and close transactions
- meet projected sales targets and budget goals
- report regularly to sales manager on progress, communicating market trends, sell-thru data, and sales forecasts
- evaluate business processes and provide recommendations for improvements to generate additional revenue
- seasonal product showings and pre-bookings
- monitor and manage sales and weekly shop visits for re-orders, merchandising and general account servicing
- in-store merchandising of product and displays
- attend regional and national industry tradeshows
Requirements:
• 3+ years as an apparel sales representative or equivalent in the action sport or surf related industry
• existing relationships with specialty and chain skate retailers a plus
• proven ability to sell and grow sales territory
• organized, resilient, with strong communication skills
• computer skills on Excel and email
• motivated to succeed
• ability to travel to visit accounts and attend tradeshows (maintain current driver's license)
• strong connection to and understanding of our brand
• generate and increase sales, market share and brand awareness within territory
