Web designer will be responsible for the layout, visual appearance and usability of all web content. This includes working with the creative team as well as the technology team to integrate existing back end technology into new front-end design. Ideal candidate will have knowledge of graphic design packages such as Fireworks or Photoshop in order to produce basic layout and manipulate images. Skills in cascading style sheets (CSS), e-commerce and server side technologies, such as PHP and .NET, and internet security are also important.This person should also be very familiar with the creative process and bring proven creative expertise and leadership to the table.
·3+ years of professional web design experience. ·Strong visual design, layout, typographic skills with a sharp attention to detail. ·Able to deliver high quality design solutions for online media. ·Able to conceptualize and create HTML/CSS for email marketing campaigns and promotions. ·Make regular web updates: text changes, banner graphics ·Report progress and status of assigned tasks·Fluent in Adobe Photoshop ·Excellent XHTML, CSS, JavaScript (unobtrusive) ·URLs that demonstrate semantically correct mark up and strong design skills ·Understanding of accessibility and web standards ·Some AJAX experience beneficial·Visual Studio·NET or PHP programming skillsare a plus ·Must have proven track record in a creative department·Strong creative ideas and communication skills
