Summary of Job Description:
We're looking to add to our expanding development team. Both senior and junior web application developer positions are responsible for building and maintaining quality software applications which perform well under high load in PHP/Zend Framework, SQL and Perl on Linux - developing on Mac OS X. Developers are also sometimes responsible for assisting in functional design and design specifications and occasionally producing technical documentation. We use Agile/SCRUM as our methodology.
Job Responsibilities:
•Assist in functional design
•Maintain and continuously improve existing software
•Design and build new, quality applications
•Produce technical documentation and release notes
•Conduct performance analysis and capacity planning
•Keep critical production applications running at 99.9% availability
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
•B.S. in computer-related field
•3rd party API integration
•Experience with PHP/Zend Framework, PostgreSQL, Subversion, Perl and RT
•Agile/SCRUM methodology
•Knowledge of and experience with AJAX and CSS
Minimum Requirements:
•At least two years (junior position) or five years (senior position) front-end web software development experience
•At least one year (junior position) or three years (senior position) database programming experience
•Previous experience architecting new applications and systems
•Ability to develop quality code that performs well under high capacity and is easy to maintain
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Ability to multi-task and switch priorities as needed
•Commitment to reach deadlines
•Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, SQL, Perl PHP and JavaScript
