I am a stay at home mom to 4 year old twins and have a 8 year old in 3rd grade. Our home is run like a *mini* preschool. Our youngest son has a diagnosis of autism, although most people wouldn't know it. Because of that we need a fair amount of structure in our home. A typical day looks like this:

Wake up to 9:00- Breakfast and Self Care Skills
9:00-10:00- Number and Letter Recognition and Writing Skills
10:00-11:00- Gross Motor Activities (hopscotch, obsticle course, toddler yoga)
11:00-12:00- Lunch (kids ALWAYS help with prep in some capacity)
12:00-12:30- Story Time or Art Time
12:30-1:00- TV (Gasp! Yes, TV time. Generally it's something of *some worth*)
1:00-2:00- Outdoors
2:00-2:30 Snack
2:30-4:00- Open (structured) play

I use a preschool curriculum from SonLight and a couple other homeschooling curriculums. I think kids should be free to explore learning opportunities and only need to be gently guided.

I can provide meals and snacks unless you have specific requests that I cannot meet.

I am able to care for kids from ONE family. I am more than happy to pick up and drop off at school (nominal charge to help with gas), as long as it doesn't conflict with my picking my child up from school! Schools in west Parker, Lone Tree and East Highlands Ranch will be considered.

Compensation: $135 a week per child, $145 a week with transportation included- discounted rates on multiple children . (If these rates are out of your price range, please, still contact me- I truely would be able to consider a different price range on a short term basis).
Drop in/part time available: $5.00 per hour, minimum of 5 hours. If you have more than one child, we can work out a fair price- with twins, I have had a hard time doubling the hourly pay- and I wouldn't expect that.
Ages: Our home is appropriate for all ages of children, however, we have 4 year olds and an 8 year old- if that is something you'd like to consider.

I am CPR/First Aid certified and a former EMT- my husband is also a Firefighter/EMT- lots of adequate emergency care here.

Hours Available: up to 10 hours a day- flexible on time frame. I don't believe that 12 hours in child care is ultimately the most healthy thing for a child, though at times I am more than happy to provide a couple extra hours as I know work becomes more demanding sometimes.

I would be happy to provide you with a motor vehicle report, CBI background check as well as references from friends or family and professional therapists that are in our home regularly.

As summer approaches I will likely be taking mini field trips to local places. Pools, WildLife Experience, ect...

I look forward to hearing from you so we can chat more!
