An international technology company is seeking a qualified Senior Accountant to join their accounting and finance division. The Senior Accountant works across a variety of accounting projects including those related to the general ledger, audit and fixed assets. The ideal person for this role will have a high level of drive to succeed and learn in the areas including the month end close process, corporate accounting projects and reviewing financial work for errors and consistency. This role will have room for career growth depending on the individuals level of success and ability to positively engage with the team.
Essential duties:
Participate in the GL and month-end-close process
Share responsibility with the team in preparing the annual budget
Maintain cost report work papers
Review and create audit work papers
Assist with fixed assets and depreciation schedules
Assisting with ad hoc projects as assigned
Required skills:
Two plus years of accounting experience
Working knowledge of general ledger, reconciliations, journal entries, and balance sheets.
The ability to lead small projects and analysis
Knowledge of the internal audit process
Strong multi-tasking and analytical abilities
Experience using or learning new accounting based software advanced Excel and Access skills are a priority
BA/BS from an accredited four year university or college in Accounting or Finance
Desired skills:
Industry experience preferred
Cost accounting knowledge desirable
Ability to work and thrive in a team environment
Oracle Financials knowledge a plus
