Senior Accountant
Growing Oil and Gas holding company based in Denver seeks experienced Senior Accountant. This position will be responsible for performing a broad range of accounting functions ensuring finances are accurately accounted for and reported. The Senior Accountant works to formulate and execute strategies to provide timely and accurate reporting. The ideal person for this role will be flexible, have experience working on projects simultaneously and have a hands-on mentality.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for closing the books in accordance with financial-reporting deadlines
• Review and analyze business transactions and prepare journal entries
• Perform monthly reconciliations for all accounting activities
• Reconcile intercompany accounts
• Work to prepare the consolidated monthly financial package
• Participate in the design and implementation of accounting systems and control procedures
• Conducts special projects as requested by management
• Work with department to fulfill external audit requests
Requirements:
• BS in Accounting
• 5-7 years accounting experience, preferably in public accounting and/or energy industry
• CPA preferred
