Fast growing public safety company is actively seeking a senior software engineer for a lead role in developing a revolutionary GIS web application.The successful candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit, a commitment to quality, the capacity to learn quickly and the ability to take full responsibility with minimal supervision.
This position is an opportunity to join a small team of dedicated professionals and have a formative role in designing and developing the back end to a unique, real-time service.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong programming skills in C#, C++, VB.NET or Classic VB
- In-depth understanding of XML, SQL, HTTP and SSL
- Experience in developing, installing and managing ESRI ArcGIS Server applications
- Expert knowledge of GIS technologies and Web Services
- Analytical problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desirable Attributes:
- Database design and/or DBA experience
- Web development experience
- Exposure to image processing, computer graphics and visualization technologies
- Familiarity with agile software development methods
- Interest or experience in emergency response
Required Education:
- BS in Computer Science or closely related field
Salary commensurate with experience
