Our client, headquartered in Colorado, is seeking a Senior Accountant. The company:
Is engaged in a lot of acquisition activity
Is in a pre-IPO stage; they are looking to go public in the next two years

The Senior Accountant reports to the Director of Corporate Accounting and works with this individual to formulate and execute strategies to more effectively close the books and provide timely and accurate reporting.
Responsibilities include:
Responsible for closing the books for eleven companies in accordance with financial-reporting deadlines
Review and analyze business transactions
Perform monthly reconciliations for all accounting activities
Reconcile inter-company accounts by working with counterparties in the other 11 companies
Work with Director of Corporate Accounting to prepare the consolidated monthly financial package.
Participate in the design and implementation of accounting systems and control procedures
Conducts special projects as requested by management
Work with department to fulfill external audit requests
Special Projects
Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent is required. A minimum of three years experience is required. Experience working in either a publicly traded company or in public accounting is required as the company is looking to go public in the next one to two years. A CPA license is highly preferred.
