Hi. I am a senior-level technical writer with 12 years of professional experience including 6-plus years of reading, updating, and creating web content and pages in multiple generations of markup languages. I hope to find a job-share partner with equivalent education, skills, and experience as I have who would like to submit to open jobs together or is seeking someone to share their current full-time position. I have unsuccessfully been trying to find a position that meets all of these requirements:

• is a permanent, direct-hire position, meaning it is not contract, contract-to-hire, 1099, freelance, temporary, substitute, conditional, or outsourced in any way
• is a professional position, meaning it requires related formal education, experience, and skills, and adequately and respectfully compensates for such qualifications
• is less than full-time, meaning it requires me to work no more than 24-hours per week, either 8 hours per day Tuesday – Thursday or 6 hours per day Monday – Thursday
• is located within 15 miles of my home in S.E. Aurora

I am mystified that most employers will not even consider a part-time schedule in our field. It seems to me that if you attempt to work around an employee’s individual personal circumstances, you develop honest loyalty and true commitment from that employee, which are rare and extremely valuable qualities these days. Anyway, employers are not jumping at just me alone, so I thought I would look for a job-share partner and see if that works.

• Languages and Platform Experience: HTML, CSS, XHTML, DHTML, and XML; Windows, UNIX, and DOS; Open Source Version Control (CVS)
