Arrow Partnership is seeking a full-time Database Developer for a client in the Colorado Springs area. This Database Developer position exists to assist with the design, and build and documentation of database applications for the company based on business and technical requirements in accordance with standard database practices. This position exists to ensure the physical integrity and integration of data throughout the computer systems by guiding the Data Base Administrators, recommending strategic direction, and working with the Technical Support Specialist.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
-Assist Sr. Database Developer with database development for projects based on the software development life cycle (SDLC)
-Involved in all projects and software purchases that have databases
-Build and document database solutions to meet specific requirements
-Standardizes all database efforts
-Perform unit testing of developed database applications to ensure consistent quality
-Assemble release scripts for newly developed databases to other teams within the IT department according to the SDLC
-Provide Level-3 support for database applications as required
-Emphasizing customer satisfaction, work closely with the Application Owner, Relationship Management, Project Manager, and the customer to recommend business solutions and enhancements
-Help develop technical requirements, goals, schedules, and action plans
-Track and report time and progress against project plan milestones
-Strive to adhere to procedures for Incident Management, Problem Management, Release Management, Service Level Management, Capacity Management, Availability Management, Change Management and Configuration Management
-Defines and designs physical databases based on conceptual data definitions
-Tunes physical databases for optimal performance
-Defines database backup, recovery and restart procedures
-Eliminates unplanned data redundancy
-Defines and executes data base re-organization procedures, to include data purge criteria
-Analyzes impact of changes to physical databases



Knowledge/Experience:
-Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience/certification
-1-4 years experience as a Database Developer, DBA or data analyst
-1-2 years experience with SQL and MS SQL Server 2000 or 2005
-1-2 years experience using an ETL Tool
-1-2 years experience using XML
-Understanding of Working knowledge C# .Net or Java
-Fluent in MS Office products
-Working knowledge of VISIO is a plus
-Working In depth knowledge of business systems platforms and software languages
-Working In depth knowledge of techniques utilized to discover, analyze and evaluate customer's data, process, and business rules
