Hiring a nanny is the most expensive way to go. Yes they want $10-20/hr, but as you said, they come to your home.Using a SAHM is the next cheapest choice, then child care centers and finally au pairs.

You may want to stay at home to raise your child for a few yrs and then go back once they start attending school F/T.
