I'm not an anarchist. There are certainly some things government, at all levels, needs to do and will do better than individuals. National defense by the Feds, intrastate commerce regulation, infrastructure maintenance, the air waves, maybe even the Dept/Agricuture...

But Healthcare, Education, Energy, forced retirement ponzi schemes which are no more than income transfer schemes with the bag holders now in their 20s and 30s; these are areas where the government has made a royal fucking mess.

Your link was very revealing. It's the government that is restricting sales of these vehicles. I agree that they should be available here. Let the free market decide if this a viable alternative. Look at the success of Hybirds. Let people decide for themselves. If gas mileage was an issue with me, I'd certainly want these vehicles as an option.
