F. Rodgers Corp is currently seeking a Purchasing Agent to work out of the Denver office in Aurora, Colorado.F. Rodgers is a fast growing, customer service oriented company that currently has 13 branches throughout the Western United States specializing in insulation and specialty contracting.
This position requires the ability to work under limited supervision with minimal local support.This is a high pressure customer service oriented position that requires a team player that can handle constructive criticism and possesses the ability complete daily deadlines on time.
Primary Responsibilities include:
•Managing all warehouse/distribution operations; customer deliveries, warehouse organization, warehouse staff, receiving, stocking levels, and customer service related issues.
•Placing of Purchase Orders and maintenance of Purchase Order Log.
•Data Entry of all purchasing related transactions.
•Negotiate and choose best price from multiple distributors and determine best purchasing methods, based on vendor performance, stock usages and pricing structure.
•Set and maintain inventory levels based upon historical, current and future usages.
•Develop professional relationships with co-workers, vendors and customers.
•Manage local truck fleet; maintain vehicle list and maintenance records.
•Provide superior support to all field personal; including sales, job superintendents and field personnel.
•Inventory Management/Loss prevention
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of purchasing required along with some management experience.
Strong working knowledge in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word.
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel isrequired (Must be able to format spreadsheets, calculate formulas, and produce reports in Excel)
Education:
Degree not required but preferred in the following area; BA or BS in Business/Purchasing/Supply Chain Management.
