American Indian College Fund


The American Indian College Fund (the Fund), a national, non-profit organization headquartered in Denver, Colorado is seeking a Project Grant Administrator.Created in 1989 to support America’s tribal colleges and universities, the Fund undertakes various fundraising activities on behalf of the nation’s tribal colleges.

POSITION TITLE:Project Grant Administrator

POSITION SUMMARY
Organizes and coordinates implementation, monitors budgets, evaluates, and provides reports on projects.Projects include special grants and non-scholarship endowment disbursements.Communicates projects to the tribal colleges and collects data as necessary.Incumbent will work closely with corporation, foundation, and major donor resource development staff on communications and relationships with donors in relation to projects.This position is primarily responsible for supporting the Project Officer in administering over $18 million in grant programs, with direct responsibility for administering several grants.This position is funded by a five-year grant that ends in 2011.

REQUIREMENTS
•Bachelor’s degree plus relevant project management experience.
•Incumbent must be able to work independently to design and implement activities associated with grants received.
•Working knowledge of fundraising and project management software.Excellent computer and internet research skills.
•Demonstrated experience with grant budget management and timelines.
•Knowledge and demonstrated experience with fundraising and philanthropy.Knowledge of grant writing process.
•Experience in higher education and familiarity with tribal colleges and American Indian culture, education and communities.
•Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
