Ensure all production job activities are scheduled and completed within
the Operations area to achieve established service level agreements.
Monitor systems states to ensure availability.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Ensure documentation is established and available to
operations staff regarding standard job scheduling and activities.

* Ensure non-standard job activities are incorporated into
existing production schedules as required.

* Identify job impacts and alternatives to ensure timely
completion of all production activities.

* Assist in performance and availability reporting for all
platforms.

* Assist in capacity and trend reporting for all platforms.

* Assist in management of tape backup schedules and rotations.

* Maintain tape inventories and off-site storage of production
data tapes.

Currently going through automation processes so it is a manual
environment right now.

*Seeking experience implementing Automated Operations products and
techniques and who specifically knows:
ROBOT/Scheduler/Space/Alert/Console/Opal and AS/400 CL programming from
an Administrators perspective and not just an Operators perspective.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor's degree in technical discipline or equivalent
relevant experience.

* 4 plus years experience in a technical operations environment.

* A strong working knowledge of Production Control practices is
required .

* Experience in a multi-platform-computing environment (UNIX,
Oracle, Notes, OS/400, Sbase, NT, Win2000, Linux) with a heavy
concentration in AS/400 systems.

* Experience with ROBOT/Scheduler/Space/Alert/Console/Opal.

* Knowledge of Retail software systems a plus.

* Strong communication and documentation skills required.

* Ability to analyze problems in situations where the symptoms
are not of a standard or familiar nature, therefore requiring
independent thought and logical trouble shooting methods.

* Ability to discuss detailed information with internal and
external customers.

* Ability to write standard documentation using established
formats.

* Ability to work flexible hours as required to meet business
demands.

BUDGET RESPONSIBILITY:

Responsible for controlling some expenses within a department.
