My 10 yr old son and I are planning our first Mountain trip the first week of April. We are recent transplants from CA, so we are not familiar with the area.

If you were planning a 3 day ski/snowboard trip where would you go?

Can you offer any advice on the best place to go. Breckenridge, Aspen, Etc.???
The best place to stay?

What snow gear is essential that we take with us vs. what can be rented?

Where is the best place for kids & 1st time skiers/snowboarders?

Any other essentials we should know before we pack up and go?
