I have a used Pioneer "home theater in a box" package for sale.It is a carousel 5-DVD/CD unit and comes with 5 surround speakers and a subwoofer.Basically, it is not a fullly-capable receiver (it can't take more than a few video/audio inputs), but any DVD that you play in the unit will be in full 5.1 Dolby Digital surround sound. One note:the subwoofer is speaker wire only and is not a powered subwoofer... but it works just fine and is perfect for apartments, etc. where you don't want to rumble the walls but still want to hear your movies, games, and TV shows. This unit does have a digital coaxial audio input, so you can hook your cable/satellite box up to it (assuming you have a digtal coaxial output on your box) and get 5.1 surround for your TV programs. It also has 2 pairs of L/R RCA audio inputs for connecting an MP3 player, CD player, or VHS to listen to on the bookshelf speakers. The speakers themselves are fairly small and are easily mounted (put a screw in the wall and hang them). I'll look at the back of the unit tonight and update with any other information, but that's the key stuff -- I believe that the unit is 450W total.I can take pictures with my phone if you want to see the unit -- it's silver in color and in perfect condition. I'm fairly flexible on the price -- I paid over $475 for this unit a few years ago.I can find the model number and all that if you're interested, but it is a solid unit for DVDs, cable/sattelite, and MP3 players for sure, and really works great for smaller spaces like apartments.
