I currently live in ABQ, NM and I am moving to Denver next month. In the county I live, they are no kill shelters. Some neighboring counties here in NM are just terrible. They euthanize after 72 hours--REGARDLESS OF SPACE.And, they use the gas chamber.I've heard it's horrific. Anyway, if anyone knows about local shelters in Denver, I'd be interested in knowing how things work. I have a "dream" (that's what it is at this point) of starting a pet ranch for the pets in danger.I'm certain there are others.I was hoping to volunteer at one to learn more about how they work. I have to say that the love of animals really brings out the best in people, well, most people.I'm going to be 38 this year and have worked in an office for my entire career. The older I get, the less meaning it seems to have.I really would like to do something for pets in danger.
