Responsibilities include:
Lead the financial reporting function by working with staff and local business unit reporting leads.
•Prepare monthly reports for management and regional comptrollers group. Prepare variance of operating results.
•Manage month-end close and associated financial & operational management reporting for the business unit.
•Coordinate timelines and processes with the regional office accounting groups and other regional business units.
•Conduct business unit benchmarking and variance analysis.
•Prepare and review account reconciliations and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
•Working closely with internal and external auditors, prepare period-end analyses for regional reporting and assist tax department with year-end tax accruals.
•Work closely with business unit leader to provide accurate, timely and relevant reporting to business unit management team and Regional Comptrollers team.
•Proactively work with the NRBU business unit operations staff to identify needs and resolve issues and queries in a timely and customer service oriented fashion.
•Works with other business unit financial reporting teams and departments to ensure effective communication, consistency, and use of best practices.
•Develop, motivate and evaluate staff of 3-5 staff.
•Participates and completes special projects on an as needed basis.
Bachelors degree in business with accounting or finance emphasis or the equivalent experience required. 6-8 years of combined oil and gas industry experience and financial reporting is preferred.1-2 years previous supervisory experience preferred.
