Growing Oil and Gas holding company based in Denver seeks a Controller.This position will be responsible for performing the day to day accounting functions of our Natural Gas Division.As Controller you will work to develop accounting procedures and implementation of SOX Controls. The ideal person for this role will have experience working on projects simultaneously and have a hands-on mentality.
Responsibilities:
•Responsible for preparing and providing analysis of financial statements.
•Oversee month-end close and general ledger process
•Develop, train and oversee staff (2 directs, 8 indirect reports)
•Assist with developing banking relationships
•Participate in the design and implementation of accounting systems and Sarbanes Oxley control procedures
• Work with department to fulfill external audit requests
Requirements:
•BSin Accounting
•5-7 years accounting experience, energy or oil and gas industry
•Must have prior supervisor experience
•SOX experience required
•CPA preferred
