A large injection mold company out of Broomfield is hiring candidates to work the 1st and 2nd shift casting position.
Responsibilities:
- Weigh materials accurately using the formula sheet to weigh up the specified amounts.
- Mix and pour parts as scheduled. (After the materials have been weighed into the designated container mix completely by hand or with the drill mixer according to mixing instructions).
- Demolding (removing the part from the mold (de-molding) and preparing it for the next pour when there is not a de-molder available.)
- A de-molder is responsible for removing the last part from the mold and preparing it for the next pour. They are the support for the molder and may be asked to keep material buckets full of material and perform other support functions.
- Dispose of raw material and/or hazardous waste according to instructions in the safety rules.
- There may be some heavy lifting (molds may weigh as mush as 75 pounds). Please note that team lifting is utilized if the weight is greater than 50 pounds.
- Must be able to deal with excessive heat (80-100 degrees) from ovens and other machinery in a factory environment.
