How do you know if it's a breeder or a puppy mill?I have never owned a dog and I would love to adopt a rescue dog, but all of their applications want vet references and I don't have any.I had a cat years ago--18 years ago.It doesn't mean I wouldn't be a responsible owner. I was going to buy a puppy from a breeder, but how do I know if it's a good breeder or a puppy mill?I'd much rather rescue a dog--but I don't seem to be qualified.I haven't tried yet, but I've looked at all of their apps and they require the vet ref.
