This is my personal MacBook Pro purchased less than a year ago.I'm finding myself needing the larger screen, so I'm going to upgrade to the 17" model. It has been upgraded with 4GB of RAM and a 200GB 7200RPM disk.It is also covered by AppleCare until October of 2010.All together, this is about $600 worth of add-ons to the base price. The RAM is from OtherWorld Computing and the hard drive is the performance-leading Hitachi TravelStar 7K200. It will come in it's original box with all accessories (battery, AC adapter, remote, disks, etc.) as well as it's original 2GB of RAM and it's original 120GB hard drive. It also comes with both sets of disks (original Tiger 10.4.x restore disks and the Leopard "drop in" disk), so you can pick which OS you want to use. The Apple Store Online is selling this model refurbished for $1449.Then you'd have to add the AppleCare ($349), 4GB RAM kit ($100) and Hitachi 200GB 7200RPM disk ($175).Then sales tax would push you to around $2,200.I'm offering mine at $1,950 cash for a local sale. I'm negotiable, but I think this is pretty fair for a laptop that's less than 6 months old and is in pristine shape.Make me an offer.
