Position Title: R & D Project Manager Reports To: Work Unit Manager ADA Technologies, Inc. is a technology commercialization company located in Littleton, CO.We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with strong skills in project management and real-time system/software development.Position responsibilities will include project definition and direction and assisting with systems engineering for a real-time mission critical system development.Duties will encompass requirements analysis, design, develop, test and formal release of a system (hardware, software, procedures) to a DoD client.This work will be performed on a team consisting of hardware EEs, software engineers, tests engineers and support technicians. Education/Experience-BS or higher in Engineering with 5 Plus years experience. QUALIFICATIONS This associate has a demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic technical environment and can effectively handle multiple responsibilities.He/she is an excellent communicator who utilizes a variety of methods depending upon the situation. The successful candidate will have a technical background with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate engineering discipline and experience developing real-time software, hardware and firmware for “mission-critical” applications. It is important to stress that this is required to be a “hands on” position within a small company.The expectation and requirement is that the successful candidate will be able to perform a measurable subset of the actual technical work associated with the project. A personal history of successful project management is a must for this new ADA member.Experience in project direction, preparation of work assignments, scheduling, budgeting, and planning are all key.Demonstrated ability to effectively and efficiently motivate the team is critical. This creative person is a life-long learner, always open to new ideas and new ways of doing things.He/she will contribute to existing ADA research activities, and support new concepts and proposals as appropriate with personal experience and level of expertise. The candidate is an established technical communicator day-to-day and can produce clear and effective technical reports, proposals, and presentations. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY The associate will be responsible for technical project management and includes the following areas of responsibility: Project Plan development including earned value techniques Define project WBS, work packages and completion criteria Develop and implement project system engineering plan Perform system level requirements analysis and review Implement project configuration management Implement project quality assurance Perform system and software design and code reviews Implement project test program Prepare and present client monthly technical and financial status reviews and reports Input to proposals on new or emerging technologies SPECIFICATIONS REQUIRED BS in Engineering Five plus years of DoD/SEI/IEEE standard system spiral development and project management Working knowledge of system engineering ( requirements, design, test, CM, QA) Working knowledge of “mission critical” real-time system development Working knowledge ofreal-time software engineering and development Experience in integrating hardware and software Experience delivering maintainable product-level systems (software, hardware, firmware) Ability to manage a multi-disciplined team of hardware, firmware and software personnel Ability to take responsibility for the entire project and deliver it to the customer Dedication to the project to meet cost and schedule commitments Proven commitment to quality and workmanship Work well in teams and able to delegate segments of work.
